We’ve all had days when everything feels manageable.
And then there are days that aren’t so great.
For many people living with mental health challenges, a “good day” isn’t about perfection. It’s about taking it one day at a time. It’s also about having somewhere to go where you’re heard and understood.
Clubhouse member, Robert, shared his story recently of what it had been like to feel different and isolated from others. His struggles with attention, anxiety, and depression made for a lonely childhood.
He joined our Clubhouse a little over three years ago, and with the help of a community that met him where he was, Robert now enjoys the experience of belonging.
When a devastating fire caused him to lose everything, Robert thought he would have to undergo the recovery process alone. That was until his Venture House community stepped in to help with housing and emotional support.
Today, he’s in a very different place, and Robert describes this chapter of his life as the “best ever”.
Your gift today helps to ensure that everyone who walks through the Clubhouse doors finds belonging and companionship.
