Expanding Supportive Housing in the Bronx
Governor Kathy Hochul announced a $42 million investment in funding awarded to seven community-based organizations to develop supportive housing for individuals experiencing chronic homelessness, with Venture House receiving $8.3 million to operate 40 units in the Bronx. This expansion reflects years of advocacy and strengthens Venture House’s growing housing program, while reinforcing the ongoing need to ensure more individuals have access to stable housing, support, and long-term recovery. On March 2nd, Staten Island Venture House proudly took part in the St. Patrick’s Day Parade, marching alongside the band and celebrating our community.

On March 17th, Venture House locations celebrated St. Patrick’s Day with festive luncheons. Order up: corn beef and cabbage!
Community Means Inclusivity
On March 19th, Venture House proudly participated in NYC Pride’s Spring Queer Vendor Fair, connecting with local artists and businesses and celebrating community, inclusion, and support for one another.

In honor of Women’s History Month, Venture House took to the streets of New York City to connect with women and spark conversations around mental health. In our latest Venture Out episode, hear directly from the general public as they share their perspectives on women’s mental health.

As a licensed Social Worker, Faculty Member of Clubhouse International with 32 years of Clubhouse experience, 26 in a management role, and 16 years at Venture House, he will lead our clubhouse and housing directors in maintaining and enhancing the quality and efficacy of our programs and services.
We are proud to celebrate this well-deserved milestone.
