Venture House in the News – Featuring Brooklyn & the Bronx Feature

Venture House Brooklyn and the Bronx was featured on News12 New York recently highlighting our Brooklyn & Bronx Clubhouses. The story captured the new locations and how our members find purpose and community by working side-by-side with staff on daily clubhouse activities from preparing meals to running meetings.

“A lot of people think that people with mental illness can’t do as much. But we can do more. This is where we prove it,” shared Bronx member Ira Boyce.

The feature underscored our mission to create spaces where New Yorkers living with mental health challenges can thrive.

Our Annual Agency-wide OLYMPICNIC

On September 12, members and staff from all four boroughs gathered for our annual Agency-wide Picnic and Olympics or as we like to call it, the Olympicnic! Teams were organized by Clubhouse units, each proudly showing off their color themes.

Celebrating Culture at the West Indian American Day Carnival on Labor Day

Venture House was proud to join the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce at this year’s West Indian American Day Carnival, one of New York City’s most vibrant cultural celebrations.

Our members and staff came together with thousands of New Yorkers to honor Caribbean heritage through music, dance, and community. Partnering with the Brooklyn Chamber gave us the opportunity to highlight Venture House’s mission while celebrating the diversity that makes our city so strong.

SHOUT OUT to the Brooklyn Chamber for welcoming us to be part of this unforgettable day. A reminder that wellness and recovery are rooted not only in support but also in joy, culture, and connection.
